Risk Adjusted Reimbursement (MRA)
Coding and Encounter Processing
Proper coding is paramount to MRA success and compliance. For this reason, some practices outsource the coding of providers’ notes to our certified coders. When we receive your progress notes, they are coded in a timely manner, and – depending on software compatibility – CCG can even transmit the encounters. Some practices opt to code their work and send it to us for review and processing. In either case, provider feedback and education are critical to clarify any issues and solidify proper behaviors.
Your coded work undergoes CCG’s two-step quality assurance process: random review of coded work by another coder, and random audits of transmitted information to ensure it has been recognized and correctly captured by the Plan and ready to impact your funding.
